WiFi Files Terms of Use

Effective date: August 2, 2026

Product: WiFi Files (bundle ID: io.awakendragon.wifishare)

Distribution: The app is currently intended for distribution outside mainland China via channels such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. It is not presently listed on app stores in mainland China. If the distribution scope changes, we will update this agreement and related notices.

This English version is provided for international store listings and overseas users. For product and legal review, a Chinese edition is also available. Please have qualified counsel review before formal release. Where a conflict exists and local law does not require otherwise, the English version prevails for international distribution.

1. Acceptance

1.1 Welcome to WiFi Files (the “App” or “Service”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developer / operator of the App (“we”, “us”, or “our”) regarding your use of the App.

1.2 By downloading, installing, launching, or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1.3 We may revise these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms will be published in the App, on our website, or by other reasonable means, with an updated effective date. Continued use after the revision takes effect constitutes acceptance. Where applicable law requires separate consent, we will follow that requirement.

2. Description of the Service

2.1 The App primarily provides the following features (subject to the actual build and your regional store listing):

Feature Description
File sharing Start an HTTP file server on the local network to manage files in the app sandbox via a browser (upload, download, delete, preview, etc.)
Data migration Migrate contacts, SMS (Android only), photos, sandbox files, and similar data between devices on the same local network
Similar photos Scan the on-device photo library for similar images and help clean them up
QR scan Scan QR codes generated by the App for migration direct-connect or file-sharing links
In-app purchases Unlock features permanently or purchase credit packs via the app stores

2.2 Core transfer capabilities rely on the same local network (including a personal hotspot). We do not operate our own content cloud for storing your personal files, contacts, or photos. Data is typically processed on your device, or transferred between devices on the LAN after you deliberately start a service.

2.3 Availability may vary by OS, region, store policy, or device capability (for example, SMS migration is available only in some Android environments). We may update, change, or discontinue features via store updates. Paid entitlements are governed by the in-app purchase terms and applicable store rules.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 The App does not require a separate in-app account for core features. Downloads, purchases, and restore flows depend on Apple ID, Google account, and our purchase provider (such as RevenueCat).

3.2 You represent that you meet the legal age requirements in your jurisdiction to use the App and make purchases, or that you have guardian consent, and that you have lawful rights to use the relevant device and network.

3.3 Features that access contacts, SMS, photos, camera, local network, or location (used to read LAN addresses) require system permissions. You may revoke permissions in system settings, which may disable related features.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You may use the App only for lawful purposes and must have the rights or authorization needed for content you transfer, share, migrate, or delete.

4.2 You must not use the App to (including without limitation):

4.3 LAN security: After you start file sharing or migration receive mode, verified devices on the same network may access or write data. Protect PINs / QR codes and stop services when finished. We cannot control other devices on your LAN.

5. Migration and File Operations

5.1 Migration, deleting photos, writing contacts, and similar actions may be irreversible. Back up important data first.

5.2 Migration depends on battery, permissions, and LAN stability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss caused by denied permissions, network interruption, the other party stopping the service, or OS limits; we will reasonably provide helpers such as resume and task history where available.

5.3 OS restrictions on contacts, photos, and SMS may cause feature differences or partial failure. You understand and accept those limits.

6. In-App Purchases and Virtual Entitlements

6.1 The App may offer permanent unlocks, file-download credits, migration credits, similar-photo scan credits, and similar items. Names, prices, and contents are as shown in the App and on the regional App Store / Google Play listing.

6.2 Payment and refunds are handled by Apple, Google, or other platforms under their consumer and refund policies. We cannot unilaterally force a store refund.

6.3 Credit ledgers (free and purchased credits) are stored primarily in on-device secure storage; permanent / subscription entitlements may be validated via RevenueCat and store receipts. Reinstalling, changing devices, or clearing app data may cause loss of credits stored only on device. Use “Restore purchases” for store-restorable items.

6.4 Unless required by law or store policy, virtual goods are generally not redeemable for cash and are not guaranteed transferable.

6.5 We may restrict accounts or usage involved in fraud, abuse, or abnormal credit farming.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Software, UI, icons, copy, trademarks, and related rights in the App belong to us or the respective rights holders. These Terms grant only a limited license to use the App as permitted herein.

7.2 Rights in your contacts, photos, files, and other content remain with you or the original owners. You grant us a limited license solely as needed to provide features (for example, thumbnails and responding to LAN requests).

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not liable for losses arising from force majeure; failures of stores, Firebase, RevenueCat, or device OS; or your failure to grant permissions, back up data, protect PINs / QR codes, or use trusted networks.

8.2 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability relating to the App will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the relevant paid items in the 12 months before the claim (or the minimum amount required by law if you paid nothing).

8.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; those clauses apply only to the extent allowed. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

9. Termination

9.1 You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time.

9.2 If you materially breach these Terms or applicable law, we may limit or terminate your access.

9.3 Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, etc.) survive termination.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

10.1 Distribution: The App is not currently targeted at mainland China app stores. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our operator is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your place of habitual residence.

10.2 Disputes should first be resolved in good faith. If unresolved, they may be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction where the operator is located, or handled by other means required by applicable law.

10.3 If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you may also be subject to Apple’s applicable license terms; these Terms do not change your relationship with Apple.
